Lamp Oil from Strömshaga

A must-have for anyone using kerosene lamps, oil lamps, or lanterns in their home or garden.
This uncolored lamp oil of the highest quality provides a stable and soot-free flame, making it both efficient and gentle on your lamps.

Kerosene lamps and lanterns

Instructions for use: Fill the kerosene lamp, stove, or heater, preferably with a funnel. NOTE! The combustion source must be off and cold when refilling.
For the kerosene lamp: Remove the burner tube and unscrew the burner, then fill the lamp with about 2/3 lamp oil. The first time you fill your kerosene lamp or after changing the wick, let the wick soak for about 20-30 minutes before lighting the lamp to get a nice flame.
Make sure the wick is even at the top and that there isn't too much visible wick.
Light the wick with a match or lighter, then immediately turn down the flame with the knob on the side of the burner. Then put the burner tube back.
NOTE! The combination of lamp oil and a fiberglass wick can increase the risk of soot, therefore we recommend lamps with a cotton wick.

Tips for use: Always fill the lamp when it is off and cold, preferably with a funnel to avoid spillage.
